About us

COLORIZE is a foundation whose main goal is inclusion through art. We are also active promoters of an inclusive art and cultural environment in Latvia. We cooperate with several contemporary art institutions - Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, New Theatre Institute of Latvia and other, to promote for everyone inclusive culture environment.

COLORIZE has been participating in and organizing various discussions about cultural accessibility for people with disabilities for more than 10 years, thus participating in shaping public opinion. The main goal of the foundation is to promote cultural accessibility and inclusion, therefore COLORIZE has been cooperating with various cultural and art institutions for more than 6 years. COLORIZE annually organizes accessibility days and events at both “Survival kit” and “Homo Novus”, at the conversation festival “Lampa”, and other festivals. In the last two years, a civically active initiative “Cultural Accessibility Agents” has been created, which is a volunteer movement that activates cultural accessibility issues. These are about 10 people with various types of disabilities who go to cultural events and then write reviews about their experiences.

COLORIZE is doing:
